Our Beach Story

The beach is our happy place. We’d love it to be yours, too!

We built our dreams on what we love most about the beach- and that's precisely how Boatshed7 was conceived.

As a child, every summer my family would pack up the station wagon, pile the whole family (and dog) in and head down to the beach for the summer holidays.

My forever memories are of cricket on the radio, sandcastles, cordial from plastic cups and ice cold towels on our sunburn (those were the days before SPF sunscreen!)

My partner Graeme and I launched Boatshed7 in the summer of 2017 when travelling to the picture-perfect island of Maui.

After experiencing countless episodes of “beach-gear envy”, we decided to bring to Australia all the groovy beach products and accessories we were eyeing off on our travels.

Boatshed7 - the name's inspired by the famous boat sheds that line the foreshore on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, where we live - is Australia's original and only online beach store.

We're delighted to offer fashionable, one-off-yet-affordable items that are hard to find. We make sure we visit every supplier to ensure they and their products are aligned to our vision for a top-notch range, crafted ethically and built to last more than a single summer.

The best part of our “job” is getting to travel to incredible beaches around the world to discover the latest beach trends. When we're not on the road, you'll find us at our “home-based office” with spectacular views of the sea (yes, we know, life is hard).

From the start, our mission was to make the beach experience as fun and simple as possible!

We've had successful careers in big business and growing our own ventures in the past, but it's such a buzz to see people having a ball at the beach with our products.
